About Us

Giles Truebenbach was born and raised in Muenster, TX. At a very young age he began to train horses. He had as many horses as his parents would allow and then some. He had the opportunity to work for some of the best trainers including Faron Hightower, Wayne Czinsy, and Terry Riddle. He worked for Jack and Susan Waggoner for about 4 years from 1997-2000. While he was there during the 1999 NCHA Futurity he had the high selling 2 year old in the NCHA 2 year old Select Sale, selling Aristo Marie for $106,000. Also in 1999 he trained the Open Reserve Futurity Champion and the Non-Pro Futurity Champion. He had the opportunity to start many great horses. Some of his top earners that he started are:

When added up, the horses that Giles has started have earned just over 2 million dollars.  Although Giles' earnings total just shy of $5,000, which was all earned in 4 months of showing, he qualified the stallion that he was showing, Lean San Freckles, for the AQHA World Show in his first attempt to do so.  Giles was showing him at weekend shows and was consistently winning marking 74's and 75's often.  He has limited earnings because he has always been in the training pen starting everyone else's champions.  While some may say that it doesn't matter who started the horse, the proof is in the numbers.  A finished horse is nothing without a good foundation.

In the fall of 2006 Giles was working for Raymond Rice.  Raymond first picked his horses and what he didn't take was exclusively Giles' string to get ready for the Futurity sales.  Giles had four horses in his string including Wild Hickory Bob (Non-Pro Futurity Champion), Redneck Yachtclub (Semi-Finalist at Futurity), Docs Dual Rey (earned $4,701.66 at a small futurity), and SDP Handsome Tari  (he has no earnings but showed at the Futurity).  As you can see from Giles' string he has three out of four money earners that he trained.  The odds are very good that he will start a successful horse for you.
